In Edo State, Mwagale Foundation visited the Senator Daisy Ehanire Danjuma Women Centre in Benin City, established under the visionary leadership of Professor Yinka Omoregbe.
The sanctuary provides comprehensive holistic care for survivors of trafficking and gender-based violence, offering shelter, legal justice, healthcare, psychological counseling, and vocational training.
The Mwagale team had the distinct privilege of meeting Professor Yinka Omoregbe, Founder of the Edo State Task Force Against Human Trafficking, who designated her associate, Purity, to guide our mission.
Mwagale also consulted Mr. Nduka Nwanwene, Zonal Commander of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) Benin Zonal Office.
Commander Nwanwene provided invaluable statistical data, enforcement history, and government anti-trafficking strategies that formed a critical foundation for Mwagale's documentary research.
This regional collaboration reinforces Mwagale Foundation's commitment to cross-border learning, institutional partnership, and survivor rehabilitation across West and East Africa.
