The official national commemoration of World Day Against Trafficking in Persons took place on July 30, 2024, at the Kololo SS Grounds in Kampala.

Mwagale Foundation joined civil society partners, government representatives, survivor networks, and citizens across Uganda to observe this global day.

The 2024 global theme, 'Leave No Child Behind in the Fight Against Human Trafficking', placed child protection and youth vulnerability at the center of national advocacy.

The day’s activities kicked off with a high-visibility public awareness march starting from the Uganda Museum, mobilizing citizens and raising awareness along Kampala’s streets.

Mwagale Foundation showcased community interventions, anti-trafficking school club models, and survivor support resources during the main exhibition at Kololo SS Grounds.

We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to ensuring that every child in Uganda is protected from exploitation, educated on their rights, and empowered to thrive in freedom.
