Mwagale Foundation was honored to participate in the Student Christian Movement (SCM) conference for tertiary institutions in Nigeria, held at the prestigious University of Ibadan.
The conference provided a vital platform to present on human trafficking, engaging students and faculty in strategic dialogues on youth protection and awareness.
Mwagale also participated in the Women Leaders Conference, presenting interventions for women affected by trafficking, and conducted interviews with local survivor support networks.
A powerful encounter took place with Mrs. White, Programs Coordinator at the Shunamite Foundation for Women and Children and a survivor of abduction and ransom trafficking, whose resilience inspired our mission.
In partnership with the Shunamite Foundation, Mwagale wrote, trained, and staged an original advocacy play depicting internal trafficking dynamics in Nigeria, using drama to foster empathy and community action.
Our regional efforts in Ibadan were greatly supported by Sister Philomena, whose guidance and deep experience in Edo State facilitated impactful outreach across Oyo State.
