Mwagale Foundation is proud to announce the successful launch of Anti-Human Trafficking Clubs at Lotome Girls Primary School and Lokodiokodoi Primary School in Karamoja. Spearheaded by Ndagire Joanita, Ssempaka Dickson, and Kusiima Miriam, this initiative marks a powerful step forward in protecting vulnerable children.

These newly established clubs are based in government SEED schools that serve as safe havens for repatriated street children from urban centers like Kampala and Nairobi. The clubs aim to increase awareness, build resilience, and equip children to become community advocates.

Launch Highlights & Interventions: Mosquito nets were distributed to all participating children for malaria prevention to ensure consistent school attendance.

Students were trained in liquid soap making as a practical life skill for self-reliance, while student drama groups performed plays educating peers and elders on the dangers of human trafficking.

The clubs were officially inaugurated by CP Julius Twinomujuni, Coordinator of Trafficking in Persons at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, reinforcing national government commitment.

Agricultural Empowerment: Mwagale Foundation supported school farming efforts across 4 acres, planting cassava, maize, and beans to promote food security and introduce sustainable farming practices.
