At the heart of Lotome Girls Primary School in Karamoja, a quiet revolution is unfolding—a place where once-vulnerable children are now finding safety, education, and renewed hope. Mwagale Foundation is honored to stand alongside this institution in transforming lives of children rescued from urban streets.
During our recent visit, we were warmly welcomed by Headmistress Madam Naume, who shared inspiring stories of child transformation. Many repatriated children have begun reclaiming childhoods once lost to hardship and displacement.
Madam Naume candidly outlined ongoing challenges hindering care: limited food supply, operational gaps, inadequate medical support, and a severe shortage of dormitory beds and sleeping arrangements.
In response to these urgent needs, Mwagale Foundation launched an Anti-Human Trafficking Club under the theme 'Break the Silence, Stop the Stigma'.
The club equips students with knowledge on human trafficking risks, practical skills fostering self-reliance, and leadership development to turn children into ambassadors of courage.
Every child deserves the chance to grow up safe, healthy, and hopeful. We call on global supporters to help overcome operational barriers and build brighter futures for Karamoja's youth.
