On July 30th 2025, Mwagale Foundation joined the global community to observe the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons in Kampala. Organized by COPTIP under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the national commemoration was a strong display of unity and resilience.

The day commenced with a symbolic awareness procession from the National Theatre to Mestil Hotel in Nsambya, bringing together coalition partners including UCATIP, GIZ Uganda, British Council, Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), The Salvation Army, IOM – UN Migration, and Human Trafficking Institute.

Hon. Gen. David Muhoozi, State Minister for Internal Affairs, serving as Guest of Honor, delivered a compelling message underscoring the imperative for collective action. He emphasized enhanced support for victims, law enforcement raids against syndicates, and survivor protection.

Mwagale Foundation proudly engaged in the national event, advocating for survivor-led initiatives that harness the transformative influence of lived experiences.
